Krasinski is not expected to star in the movie.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Krasinski’s next film will be a sci-fi thriller called Life on Mars and based on Cecil Castellucci’s short story, We Have Always Lived on Mars. The movie follows the descendants of an abandoned colony on Mars. When one of the descendants discovers she can breathe the air on Mars, her life changes forever.
As of now, Krasinski is not expected to star in the film, and no writer has been announced. Krasinski will produce alongside Michael Bay, who also produced A Quiet Place. Paramount, which distributed A Quiet Place, is circling the project.
Krasinski stars alongside his wife Emily Blunt in the horror movie. Speaking about the movie, Blunt told IGN that Krasinski “wanted to create an experience, even more than he wanted to create a film, and it felt like that [at the premiere].” For more on A Quiet Place, check out our review of the movie.
