Battlefield 5 Reveal
Battlefield 5 has been confirmed, but the official reveal isn’t coming until May 23.

Battlefield 5 Setting – WW2?
While not confirmed, many have speculated that Battlefield 5 will be set during World War 2. A tease from the official Battlefield account on Twitter mentions a “new setting” set across “unexpected theaters of war.” WW2 isn’t a new setting for the Battlefield series, but this 20-second teaser clip posted on May 21 is all fans have to go off for now.

Battlefield 5 Maps
While we don’t know what EA has in store for us during Battlefield 5’s reveal, we hope to catch a glimpse of some upcoming Battlefield 5 maps. Stay tuned to IGN for more info as it rolls in.
Battlefield 5 Single-Player
EA has confirmed Battlefield 5 will have a single-player mode, using the phrasing “single-player stories” during an earnings report and “War Stories” in a recent tweet – a reference to Battlefield 1’s vignette-style single-player missions.
Battlefield 5 Battle Royale
Rumors that Battlefield 5 will feature a battle royale mode have been brewing for about a month. An anonymous source told VentureBeat that even if the team finds a way to make the mode work for Battlefield 5’s mechanics, Battlefield 5 might not ship with a battle royale mode when it launches in October. Hopefully we’ll find out more soon.
Battlefield 5 New Modes
Battlefield’s official Twitter account makes a brief mention of “new modes and experiences,” questioning the possible return of Operations from Battlefield 1, but promises more information at the live reveal on May 23. We’ll add more information once we have it.
