Add Northern Ireland to the list of destinations you can reach on a Disney cruise.
Disney on Thursday revealed it would offer its first sailing to the region in September of 2019.
The seven-night voyage out of Dover, England will feature a day visit to Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland, as well as stops at other ports in the British Isles. It’ll take place on the 1,754-passenger Disney Magic.
Disney has offered British Isles cruises since 2016 but until now the trips haven’t included stops in Northern Ireland.
Belfast is just one of seven new European ports on the schedule for Disney in 2019. The line on Thursday also revealed plans for its first calls at Gothenburg and Nynashamn, Sweden; Toulon and Brest, France; Cartagena, Spain; and Fredericia, Denmark.
Disney also said it would offer a round-trip sailing from Civitavecchia, Italy (near Rome) in 2019 — a first for the line. The eight-night Disney Magic voyage will kick off on June 14, 2019 and feature calls at Salerno and La Spezia, Italy; Villefranche and Marseilles, France; and Barcelona, Spain. Salerno is a jumping off point for tours to the Amalfi Coast. La Spezia is a gateway to Pisa and Florence.
The new voyages will open for bookings on Thursday.
