It’s more than doubled Far Cry 4’s first week sales.
Far Cry 5 has hit a major sales milestone, becoming the fastest-selling game in the franchise’s history.
As detailed by Ubisoft, the latest entry in the series has more than doubled Far Cry 4’s first week sales, with digital distribution accounting for more than half of those sales.
Far Cry 5 is also now the second biggest launch ever for a Ubisoft title. It trails only behind Tom Clancy’s The Division, with $310 million USD in consumer spending over its first week.
Additionally, players have streamed more than 55,000 hours of Far Cry 5 on Twitch, and YouTube videos featuring the game have garnered over 117 million views. Both are records for a Ubisoft game in the first week after launch.
