The film’s writer Greg Russo celebrated the major milestone for the film by thanking the cast and crew for all of their hard work.
Congrats to the amazing cast and crew of #MK2021 on the wrap today! Thank you for being so awesome to work with. The passion and dedication I felt was insane. Hope you get some much needed rest over the holidays! #MortalKombatpic.twitter.com/NXuCl6Bi16

The Mortal Kombat reboot has been in the works for quite some time, so it’s nice to see the film finally come to fruition. Warner Bros. recently announced that the movie’s release date has been moved up a few weeks to January 15, 2021.
In August, Warner Bros. announced that Shang Tsung had been cast as Scorpion and Sonya Blade as Kano. Hopefully, the end of filming means that we will finally get to see an official trailer for the film, as well as a first-look at more characters.
