Ahead of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker conquering the box office for the next month, Paramount’s Top Gun: Maverick — which is due out June 26, 2020 — has revealed a new poster, and the news that a brand new trailer will drop on Monday, December 16.The new trailer for the decades-later Top Gun sequel, which stars Tom Cruise reprising his role as Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, will arrive online Monday at 5am PT/8am ET.

The first trailer and theatrical poster debuted at San Diego Comic-Con. Cruise himself even made a surprise appearance at the Comic-Con panel. But while the first trailer was well-received, some hardcore fans are irked by changes made to Maverick’s flight jacket.
