Considering every other game has fled that release window, it’s probably best.
Take Two CEO, Strauss Zelnick, has promised that Red Dead Redemption 2 won’t suffer any further delays and is on track for its October release.
“Hand on heart, it’s October 26,” Zelnick assured Mad Money host Jim Cramer, telling him that the entire team at Rockstar team is on track for the latest release date of the upcoming game. Rockstar is a subsidiary of Take Two.
The title was initially scheduled for a fall 2017 release but was pushed back to a spring 2018 release this time last year, with Rockstar explaining that the extra time was needed “to deliver the best experience possible” for players.
A further delay was announced earlier this year, landing on the current October 26 release date.
“When I said ‘hand on heart,’ it’s over a thousand people at Rockstar Games with their hands on their hearts,” Zelnick added.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming to PS4 and Xbox One on October 26 – you have Zelnick’s word on that.
