Game of street signs.
The epic fantasy world of Game of Thrones is coming to a small town outside of Boise, Idaho in the form of street names, thanks to a local developer named Jannell Hall of B&A Engineers, Inc.
The new Silver Trail subdivision in Kuna, Idaho will have a pair of streets named after some well-known characters from the popular franchise written by George R.R. Martin. If you decide to purchase a piece of property in this lovely part of the country, you will have the option of living on Baratheon Ave. or Rickon St.
Hall talks about how she came up with the idea in a recent interview:
“On that subdivision my supervisor just let me go wild, so I did,” Hall said. “He now usually gives me a theme to follow… but I’ll still sneak in a geeky one here or there.”
It’s cool to see her boss giving her so much freedom. Hopefully, the future residents will also be Game of Thrones fans. Hall also has ideas for other street names in the subdivision, like Sansa, Arya, Tyrion, and Greyjoy. These would all be implemented in future phases of development.
Game of Thrones Season 8 is still a ways off, so little bits of news from fans around the world doing their part to spread the gospel of George R.R. Martin is always fun.
David Griffin still watches DuckTales in his pajamas with a cereal bowl in hand. He’s also the TV Editor for IGN. Say hi on Twitter.
